Formally, Brandwave, the company started 1 March 1995 with just one client, Arnott’s Biscuits. For 12 months, whilst the founder and Managing Director Anthony Harrison continued to manage a Graphic Reproduction company, Arnott’s remained the company’s sole client. In 1996 after a successful tender process, a second client was introduced, that being the Hornsby Shire Council, with the company commissioned to brand the Shire as the “Bushland Shire” From this one project many more originated from within Local Government in departments like Waste Management, Road Safety, Environment, Tourism as well as Community Relations. Soon the companies reputation grew and whilst working with energetic gifted people the company produced many award-winning campaigns that resulted in many new Councils choosing to work with them.

In 1997 the company expanded and introduced a Pre-Press Division before selling this division to an independent company in order to remain true to its core business.

In late 1997 the company started a 7-year working relationship with the India Tourism Board, producing TV, radio, print and magazine campaigns establishing the positioning line of “Unforgettable India”, a tagline that still exists today.

From then on, the company enjoyed working with a vast array of clients from start-up brands to some of Australia’s most trusted and well-known brands, Nivea, Mars, Snickers, BOC Gases, Blanco, Sanitarium, Burns Philp, Chickadee Foods, Selleys, Safcol, Oral B and Braun (to name a select few).

We’ve worked with NFP’s like Feed the Hungry, Greenpeace, Samaritans Purse, Leading the way, Opportunity International, Christianity Works and Anglicare.

We’ve worked with many local Governments, Hornsby, Rockdale, Bankstown, Gosford, Randwick, Ku-ring-gai, Warringah, Willoughby and Parramatta. In all, over 28 local Governments on campaigns from waste management, environment, road safety and community engagement.

The business was founded on faith, a faith in the essential goodness of people, a faith in the ability for advertising to contribute positively to lives; and faith that doing our job will bring rewards to our clients, their customers, and our team.

Confident in who they are and what we believe in, Brandwave gradually attracted a wonderful network of creative, like-minded professionals. As a result, the agency experienced a gratifying acknowledgement that our vision has been true; existing clients have entrusted us with more and more of their creative challenges, and referred new business to us.
